About the Show

"Sam Hickman: First Woman" is a glitter-soaked, genre-defying, semi-autobiographical one-woman musical adventure through outer space, inner thoughts, and the absurdity of existing in both. Mixing sharp wit, original songs, and cosmic charm, Sam presents a sci-fi spectacular that explores womanhood, fame, isolation, ambition — and, of course, the logistics of taking a harp into zero gravity.

Whether she’s serenading satellites or moonwalking through metaphors, Hickman’s interstellar performance will leave you laughing, gasping, and wondering how NASA ever missed out on her in the first place.

Who is Sam Hickman?

A cabaret sensation and multi-instrumentalist, Sam Hickman has carved out a cult following with her quirky, candid, and musically brilliant shows. Armed with a harp, a sense of the ridiculous, and a closet full of sequins, she’s been described as a “camp cosmic cabaret queen” and “what you'd get if Flight of the Conchords and Kate Bush had a glitter baby.”
