Discover the Beauty of Form and Nature: Sculpture at Hidcote

1 September – 2 November 2025
(Free event, normal admission applies. No need to book.)
This autumn, art and nature come together in a stunning celebration of creativity at Hidcote, one of England’s most beautiful and atmospheric gardens. From 1 September to 2 November 2025, Hidcote will be transformed into an open-air gallery for Sculpture at Hidcote, a major exhibition showcasing over 200 thought-provoking and inspiring works of art by nearly 50 talented sculptors.
Set against the backdrop of Hidcote’s carefully designed garden “rooms,” long avenues, and hidden corners, this extraordinary exhibition invites visitors to experience the garden in a new way. As you explore the grounds, sculptures appear almost organically – nestled among flower borders, rising from lush greenery, or standing boldly against the autumn sky. Indoors, additional works will be displayed in the Exhibition Hall of the Manor House, offering a full sensory experience.
Curated by David Waghorne and Kate McGovern of Sculpture Events, the exhibition brings together both local talent and internationally acclaimed artists, representing a wide range of styles and artistic visions. From smooth marble and textured granite to shimmering aluminium, glowing stained glass, and even gold, the materials are as varied and expressive as the themes they explore.
Each sculpture is available for purchase, with a portion of every sale going directly towards the care and conservation of Hidcote. By supporting the exhibition, visitors are also supporting the long-term preservation of this unique Arts and Crafts garden – ensuring its beauty endures for generations to come.

Themes That Speak to Our Time
The works on display speak to themes that feel especially resonant today:
- The environment and sustainability
- The wildness and wonder of the natural world
- Human emotion and connection
- Perspective, perception, and personal experience
Whether you’re an art enthusiast, a garden lover, or simply looking for a memorable autumn day out, Sculpture at Hidcote offers a rare chance to engage with contemporary sculpture in an immersive, ever-changing setting. With pieces to suit all tastes – and all budgets – it’s an exhibition that promises discovery, reflection, and delight at every turn.
